Mahuia Bridgman-Cooper is a notable figure in the New Zealand music scene with multiple awards as a composer, violinist, producer and collaborator. From 80's synth wave to a full symphony orchestra, Mahuia's innovative scores encompass a vast range of styles evident through his varied work.
Mahuia's diverse repertoire includes writing and producing for Netflix, the Dalai Lama, Playstation, along with local artists such as TEEKS and LAB. His substantial film background includes writing scores for directors Lee Tamahori, Gerard Johnstone and Roseanne Liang. His classical work includes composing, arranging and curating concerts for both the Auckland Philharmonia and The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
Mahuia Is a founding member of The Black (String) Quartet.
